For 15 years I have worked with caregivers, children, extended family members and collaborated with various agencies and service provider regarding children’s welfare, impact of neglect and abuse, behavioural management, social-emotional issues, addiction issues, and anger management to promote the well-being of individuals, children, and caregivers. I also have extensive experience working directly with individuals struggling with substance abuse, domestic violence and other interpersonal issues. I have been recognized for my strong interpersonal skills and high level of integrity. As an experienced Registered Social Worker with Masters of Social Work, I have great clinical skills to assess and engage clients to resolve social and emotional issues.
I engage in therapeutic interactions with people experiencing different needs such as burnout, anxiety, fear, stress, separation, co-parenting, parent alienation and general personal and interpersonal issues. My work with parents involve helping them to improve their skills to foster the safety and well-being of their children in the context of their unique situation. When working with individuals who suffer from addiction issues, I focus on addressing the addiction and the underlying personal issues fuelling the addiction. I have engaged men and women who have experienced unhealthy relationships either as perpetrators or victims to work towards healthy relationship beliefs, relational skills and personal safety.
My greatest interest is to support the healing and change of individuals and groups that I engage because if it is important to you, it is important to me and it is worth talking about it. I engage individuals and groups in client-centered and solution-focused interactions, meaning we focus our discussions on solutions not generalities. I provide confidential, compassionate, non-judgemental and professional counselling services to individuals to promote a healthy, fulfilling, and meaningful life.
